mid-week meet-up: Vision Retreat

Hi First Presbyterian Church,

It’s time for our Mid-Week Meet-Up! This weekend, our Vision Team will be convening for a Vision Retreat with our consultant Kevin Ford. Our Vision Team is made up of all the Ruling Elders on our Session, four of our Trustees, three of our Deacons, our Treasurer, a member-at-large, and our senior staff.

Over the last three years, our Vision Team has been leading us in the important work of discovering our church’s core values, discerning our vision, and setting our four key church goals.

Core Values
Connect:  We create and sustain life-giving relationships, across all generations.
Inspire:  We worship God in ways that stir our souls, sharpen our minds, and speak to our hearts.
Follow:  We experience transformation through the Holy Spirit,  and help others do the same.
Unify:  We join together across our differences, to make a difference.
Love:  We show grace and compassion to others, with no strings attached!

Vision
We are a connected community growing in Christ and, through service, empowering our neighbors to thrive.

Four Objectives
Everyday Faith: Reimagining discipleship to become highly personal, relational, and biblical.
Pittsford Connects: Reimagining our campus to become a safe place that meets our neighbors’ “first” needs (physical, social, and emotional).
Groups and Gatherings: Providing safe places, times, and gatherings for people to connect on the journey.
Re-align to Our True North: Reducing the amount of organizational inefficiencies while refining structures to support what matters the most.

Kevin will be helping our Vision Team to review the work our church has done toward our vision and goals, identifying any progress and roadblocks. He will also spend some time helping us to think about the role of church leadership in helping our whole congregation to achieve our vision and goals.

Please keep the Vision Team in your prayers as they do this important work this weekend!

Peace to you,
Aaron
