What is Faith & Grief and how is fpc involved?
Founded in 2007 by two Presbyterian ministers in Dallas, TX, Faith & Grief provides opportunities for comfort and hope to those who have experienced the death of a loved one.
May 2022, we became the first host site in New York, offering concurrent day and evening Workshops every Spring and Fall, in a safe, kind, supportive environment.

· Small group (limited to 8 participants)
· 8 sessions
· In-depth grief education—understanding grief’s physical, emotional and spiritual impact
· Spiritual practices taught as tools for your healing
We started offering The Support Gathering January 2025. Held the Third Saturday of every month at 11:00, this 1-hour program includes a light brunch. Topics change monthly.
After listening to a 7-minute talk from our speaker, trained facilitators lead table discussions while we enjoy a meal together. Tears are welcome, and silence respected. Gluten-free options always available.
With a strong desire to be an instrument of peace and healing for those experiencing loss and grief, both programs are underwritten by First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford and FREE to all participants.
