We are pleased to offer accommodations for making our church accessible.
Mobility Accommodations
Parking On Sundays signs are put up in our Locust Street parking lot asking for those spaces to be reserved for those who may need them.
Wheel Chair Lift There is a wheelchair lift at the entrance at the side of the church near the church office. This entrance is accessible from Church Street.
Ramp - entrance from Locust Street There is a ramp suitable for wheelchairs or walkers at the double-door entrance to the Locust Street parking lot.
Sanctuary Pews for Walkers or Wheelchairs Several pews, on either side of the Sanctuary, are designed for wheelchairs and walkers.
Elevator in the Main Lobby There is an elevator connecting all three levels of the building. Refer to the diagram, below, for its location. However, all Sanctuary seating is on the main level.
Large-Print Bulletins
Large-print bulletins are available from the greeters.
Deaf or Hard of Hearing
A T-Loop hearing aid loop is installed in the Sanctuary. Also closed captioning of the entire 10:00 AM (9:30 in summer) Sunday service is projected on large screens at the front of the Sanctuary. The livestream of this service is also closed-captioned.
Guide Dogs
Guide Dogs are welcome in our church. Please follow the following rules for Guide Dog Etiquette:
Please do not pet or talk to the dog. She is always on the job, even if she looks like she’s taking a break.
A guide dog should never be distracted from its job. Please avoid making eye contact. Please do not offer treats.
Please do not touch the dog’s harness. If you sense that assistance is needed, please ask whether you can offer your arm for guidance.
Refrain from calling out directions to someone with a guide dog—they are a team and used to navigating the environment safely and independently.
