Hi First Presbyterian Church,
It’s time for our Mid-Week Meet-Up! What a joyous celebration of Christ’s resurrection we had on Sunday! I pray you will keep in mind that Easter never truly ends. Have you ever wondered why we say, “Christ is risen,” as opposed to “Christ was risen?” It is because Christ has never ceased to be raised from the dead. He was resurrected and remains resurrected. Christ’s followers are meant to live as “People of the Resurrection.” As long as Jesus lives, our hope and joy remain alive, too. Hallelujah!
I want to take this opportunity to give you one final reminder that we will be taking a field trip to El Shaddai Church next Wednesday, April 15. El Shaddai is a church whose members are mostly refugees from Central Africa that meets at the Gates Presbyterian Church (1049 Wegman Rd, Rochester, NY 14624), and we will be going to observe their tutoring program for children. You can learn a little more about their tutoring program by visiting their website at this link: El Shaddai’s Tutoring Program. We will be at Gates from 5:00-6:30pm.
If you would like to attend this field trip, please RSVP to connect@pittsfordpres.org if you haven’t already done so.
Let’s be People of the Resurrection today and embody the power of Christ’s eternal life to everyone we meet!
Peace to you,
Aaron
