What is Faith & Grief and how is fpc involved?

Faith & Grief started in Dallas, TX in 2008 by two Presbyterian ministers. Faith & Grief has 17 host sites in 10 states (our church is the first in New York). We started hosting The Workshop in May 2022, and launched The Support Gathering in January 2025. We are the only host site offering concurrent day and evening Workshops twice a year and the Support Gathering monthly. To date 73 people have attended one of our programs, and only 14 are church members. Our program is powered regularly by 12 volunteers and an additional 12+ (counting speakers and greeters for the Support Gathering).

Each Workshop is an 8-session, 2 hour program taught over 7-8 weeks in the fall and spring. The Support Gathering is a monthly 1-hour program that includes brunch. Each month has a different topic.
